A savings app rebuilt for a fintech expanding from web to native mobile
The problem
Ferra's web app worked, but mobile conversion lagged badly — users wanted a native app with biometric auth and push notifications for savings-goal milestones, neither of which a wrapped web view could deliver well.
The approach
Native Swift and Kotlin builds sharing a common API layer with the existing web app, with a redesigned onboarding flow that cut time-to-first-deposit from six screens to three.
The outcome
Mobile signup completion rose 34% in the first quarter post-launch, with app-store ratings averaging 4.7 across both platforms.
